"The Sims," a work of Will Wright's, began its evolution prior to the release of SimCity 2000. Got to be pretty polished, eh? Well, it is. (duh.) Although it is a little ways away from being a finished product, ready for shipping, Wright is working furiously on it, and there has been much progress, so start warming up your home-making skills, lawnmowers, and vacuums, "The Sims" is coming! |

Whether you loved SimCity 3000 or not, you will find that the family planning involved in "The Sims" is just as engaging (if not more so) than the SimCity series, requiring a little more thought into the process of making a family. Whether you want to raise a lazy and unmotivated or intelligent energetic family is up to you, their 'supernatural force'-- everything you do and buy will determine how they grow and mature in their home.
A few of the specifics on the game:
- You do everything. You buy the fridge they put their food and drinks in. You control just about everything of their lives. Feel the power!
- How well you set up the family is how happy and successful they are
- It is fair to say that an aspect of "The Sims" is novice architecture, but don't let that fool you, as it takes work to keep your SIMfamily happy
- "THE SIMS" IS NOT JUST ANOTHER BORING GAME! It takes a great amount of strategy in order to create a good family environment... not as easy (or as shallow) of a concept as it may seem
- With over 7 years of work put in by Will Wright, you can rest assured that the ideas have been updated and re-updated enough times to create a stimulating and diverse setting
- The graphics are top-notch, however, with Maxis, that's not really a surprise
- In other words, this game keeps you engaged for hours on end!
